Information on collecting this prized Polish pottery

Polish pottery is highly sought after by happy users and avid collectors alike. With so many pieces and designs to choose from, one can add to a collection almost indefinitely.

We have been collecting pottery of all sorts and descriptions for years - it can be described as a passion. With use, however, (and who wants to keep pottery just sitting on a shelf?) we found that much of it chipped, faded, cracked, exploded in the oven, or simply lost its appeal.

It was only when we discovered Bunzlau stoneware from the original Boleslawiec Pottery several years ago that we found the perfect balance between looks and usability. Other factories have set up in Boleslawiec but the original pottery gives the best quality, variety, elegance and detail of designs.

We use the word ORIGINAL for our pottery as it comes from the original manufacturer. . . the Ceramica Artystyczna workshop in rural Boleslawiec. If you want to ensure you purchase the prime quality of Original Bunzlau Ceramics look out for the trademark stamped on the base of each and every piece. (The "Castle" stamp is the earlier version).

Country Traditionals began to import this superior pottery exclusively, confident that you, too, will appreciate its robust quality, its friendly shapes and striking colours, and will enjoy mixing and matching pieces to create tablesettings which never look the same from one day to the next. Often a purchase of a lady's or gentleman's mug, with its distinctive, rounded shape, is the starting point of an ever-growing collection. Oval casseroles and bowls become pieces you reach for again and again.
